On day tour visiting Trang An Grottoes

Located about 90 Kilometers to the southeast far from Hanoi, Trang An Grottoes covers 6,172 hectare area. There are many famous places nearby Trang An Grottoes such as: Tam Coc – Bich Dong, Cuc Phuong National Park, and Van Long Nature Reserves. 

Trang An Grottoes is The three areas share a common geological and ecological environment characterized by dramatic limestone karsts, permeated with a network of caves, and bound together by flooded inland waterways of high biological diversity. Together these three contiguous areas comprise the core zone of the heritage property.

Furthermore, Trang An Grottoes is a spectacular landscape of limestone karst peaks permeated with valleys, many of them partly submerged and surrounded by steep, almost vertical cliffs. Exploration of caves at different altitudes has revealed archaeological traces of human activity over a continuous period of more than 30,000 years. They illustrate the occupation of these mountains by seasonal hunter-gatherers and how they adapted to major climatic and environmental changes, especially the repeated inundation of the landscape by the sea after the last ice age. The story of human occupation continues through the Neolithic and Bronze Ages to the historical era. Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Viet Nam, was strategically established here in the 10th and 11th centuries AD. The property also contains temples, pagodas, paddy-fields and small villages. 



Visiting Trang An Grottoes, tourists can travel by rowing a boat and complete trip takes about three hours. During the journey through Trang An Grottoes which is a gathering of 31 valleys, 50 cross-water caves and the home of 600 kinds of flora and more than 200 kinds of fauna, many of them in the Red Book of Vietnam (a book lists plant and animals endangered).

Trang An Grottoes was recognized as the World Heritage by UNESCO in 2014. 

Itinerary: 

In the morning, tourists star from Hanoi to Ninh Binh by Bus or Taxi. After 2 hours transferring, they will arrive at Hoa Lu Ancient Capital. In Hoa Lu there are now 2 temples have been built on the ground of the old royal palace, one is dedicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang, the other is to King Le Dai Hanh. The visit offers a chance to know more about part of feudal dynasties and historical periods in Vietnamese history.

Tourists can choose have lunch at local restaurant with local food. 
After lunch, tourist will have chance to an amazing boat trip rowing through Trang An grotto in the quiet, fresh air of the highlands, with only the sound of birds and the oars stirring the clear water and surrounded by magnificent forested mountains upon which graze white goats, visitors enjoy a heaven on earth.

Guests leave Trang An and drive back to Hanoi at 4 pm before it gets dark.
